Description
• The Tax Manager/Tax Director will report directly to the CFO and work closely with senior leadership on all tax-related initiatives • Develop tax strategies and policies to maintain compliance with tax laws • Monitor and update tax policies and strategies as per changing regulations • Conduct research on complex tax issues impacting funds and management companies • Participate in planning and implementation of new products with a tax perspective • Review and approve tax filings prepared by external vendors or internal teams • Manage relationships with external tax advisors and relevant tax authorities
Requirements
• 5+ years of tax experience • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification • Previous experience in tax work for quantitative hedge funds is a plus • International tax experience is a plus • Strong understanding of technical tax issues related to quant hedge funds • Ability to research complex tax issues involving trading different financial instruments globally • Experience with preparing and reviewing necessary tax paperwork • Bachelor's and/or advanced degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or related fields
