• Experience applying machine learning techniques to build multi-modal multi-task sensor fusion architectures solving autonomous driving problems for our perception stack including object detection and tracking, segmentation, road understanding, flow estimation, and future prediction • Gain understanding of how machine learning powers a safety critical, large-scale application in a real-world environment • Design and develop large-scale foundation models trained on vast Waymo data • Develop data mining, labeling, training, and evaluation pipelines to help develop the Waymo Driver • Collaborate and work in partnership with Perception and Research teams
• BS degree in Computer Science or a similar discipline, or an equivalent amount of deep learning experience • 3+ years experience • Experience with Computer Vision and Machine Learning • Experience with Python • PhD degree in Computer Science or a similar discipline, or an equivalent amount of machine learning experience • Publications at top-tier conferences like CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ICLR, ICML, ICRA, RSS, NeurIPS, AAAI, IJCV, PAMI • Experience with C++
