Description
• As the Engineer in Test Technical Lead on Wayve’s Onboard Software team, you will play a pivotal role in establishing the test infrastructure and practices necessary to ensure the robustness and reliability of our AI-driven autonomous vehicle systems. • Your leadership will be crucial in enabling software engineers to seamlessly integrate testing into their development workflows, automating hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) testing, and creating advanced frameworks for sensor emulation that facilitate full system testing. • By driving excellence in testing practices and mentoring junior engineers, you will directly contribute to the continuous improvement of Wayve’s software development life cycle.
Requirements
• Proven Experience in Test Automation: Extensive experience in automating testing for embedded applications, particularly within the automotive industry • Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in developing test frameworks in Python, with additional programming skills in either of our development languages of C++ and Rust • Deep Knowledge of Testing Methodologies: In-depth understanding of software testing best practices, methodologies, and techniques aimed at driving continuous quality improvement and ensuring fitness for purpose • Leadership in Test Engineering: Demonstrated experience leading other engineers in the design and implementation of test frameworks, with a strong focus on mentoring and team development • Exceptional Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate complex testing strategies and practices across an organization, influencing and collaborating with software developers and other stakeholders • Automotive Industry Expertise: Familiarity with automotive software development environments and standards, such as ASPICE and ISO 26262 • Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is highly desirable
