Description

• The Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) and Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officer (AMLCO) is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the compliance and anti-money laundering (AML) programs for Alpaca Crypto. • This includes ensuring that the company adheres to all relevant regulatory requirements, implementing policies and procedures to mitigate risks, and providing guidance to the executive team and employees on compliance matters.

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment where • Excited about Alpaca’s mission and what we’re building • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in compliance, AML, or a related role within the financial services or cryptocurrency industry. • Extensive knowledge of AML regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), OFAC, and FinCEN guidelines. • Proven experience with KYC processes, transaction monitoring, and suspicious activity reporting. • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices for cryptocurrency operations. • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. • Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) or similar certification preferred. • This role has a regulatory requirement to be US based.
