• Resolving complex construction project related issues, disputes, and disagreements • Developing, assigning, and monitoring performance of OARs • Reviewing status and overall construction project progress • Assessing impact of change orders on the district • Assisting with bid and contract planning • Providing functional direction over construction project schedules, cost control, dispute resolution, contract administration, and quality control • Coordinating program activities with various organizational branches and departments • Developing internal policies and procedures
• 17 years full time paid professional project/construction management experience • 5 years of experience in managing large programs with construction values over $50 million • 5 years’ experience in educational facility construction, public works, or large commercial projects • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management • Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential within one year of employment in Facilities Services Division of Los Angeles Unified School District • Design Build Experience • Experience utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM) • Experience in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified projects and/or the Collaborative for High Performing Schools (CHPS) • Valid Certificate of Registration as an Architect by the California Architectural Board or Professional Engineer by the California State Board for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors
