• Establishing quality metrics and methods for tracking quality issues within production • Creating systems to address quality problems that improve reliability and speed production • Leading cross functional teams to deliver quality improvement projects • Assisting the production and supply chain teams with hardware non-conformance tracking and ensuring all non-conformances are resolved quickly • Developing and leading a process for containment or recall efforts on an as-needed basis • Creating manufacturing quality standards and inspection procedures • Collaborating with the production and supply chain teams with a solutions-oriented mindset
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or another STEM-related field • 3+ years in a fast paced manufacturing, quality and/or design engineering role • Experience working with or within a quality management system • Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and offsite as needed • Exposure to multiple engineering disciplines • Ability to articulate and defend engineering decisions • Excellent grasp of the fundamentals of Design for Manufacturability • Comfortable pushing an intense but sustainable pace • Enthusiasm for boating and clean energy
