Description

• Collaborate with stakeholders to incorporate privacy into everything we do. • Develop an enterprise-wide privacy, AI, and data governance program. • Serve as a strategist to product development teams. • Analyze and help operationalize new privacy and AI laws and standards. • Provide guidance on new legislative and regulatory developments. • Draft and review privacy agreements with vendors and partners. • Draft privacy notices and manage internal policies to ensure compliance.

Requirements

• 8 + years of combined, relevant experience in law firms, governmental agencies, and/or in-house legal departments. • Ability to provide pragmatic and actionable advice to clients on various legal risks and obligations under privacy and data security laws in the U.S. Experience with international privacy laws (Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and the United Kingdom) a plus. • Fluency translating complex legal requirements and advice into actionable guidance for innovative product, engineering, InfoSec, HR, and other business teams. • Ability to engage in detailed analysis of data-driven products to understand and assess global privacy and other legal risks. • Technophilia, and a desire to learn and understand technology as well as you understand the law. • Intellectual curiosity, a desire to have a big impact and alignment with our core values: Humble, Fun, Authentic, Passionate, and Accountable. • Creative thinker with strong communication and problem solving skills and the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously, with effective resolution of conflicting priorities. • Comfortable with gray areas and interpreting and applying the law in unsettled contexts in a fast paced environment. • A JD and active membership in at least one state bar.
