• Oversee day-to-day activities in the simultaneous development of multiple residential care facilities for the use of people with developmental disabilities in the California Region • Develop, maintain, and apply thorough working knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and codes
• A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of direct work experience in market rate, affordable or permanent supportive housing development is required • Experience working in the Department of Development Service System, including Regional Center, Service Provider, HDO, experience is preferable • Experience working for or with public sector housing agencies, public sector construction projects and housing organizations is a plus • Proficiency in reading and interpreting California building codes, fire codes, electrical codes, plumbing codes, and all other Federal, State or Municipal regulations applied to developing licensed care facilities or other projects • Experience in real estate acquisition due diligence, sophisticated budgeting practices, complex renovation estimating, project scoping, universal design, bidding, value engineering, and document management • Previous experience in responding to RFP’s and attending RFP interviews • Other combined experience could be in general real estate development, construction management, project management or program management
