Description

• Managing development cash accounts, acquisition closings, development draws, payables, and project/budget reconciliations. • Provide oversight and tracking of internal and external borrowings • Assist with the creation of new development ownership entities and funding sources in the accounting system. • Provide regular and ad hoc reports for the Asset Management department. • Assist and manage the process to develop program, project, and organization budgets. • Develop, implement, and maintain the accounting systems, policies and procedures • Assist with outside auditors and government agencies on contract issues • Manage and perform other various accounting activities including revenue recognition and capitalization analysis. • Collaborate with the Accounting Managers on managing monthly closings and prepare related journal entries. • Other duties to be assigned.

Requirements

• Three to five years of progressive accounting experience required. Knowledge of real estate development accounting, preferred. • Knowledge of regulations pertaining to Tax Credit and other affordable housing programs, preferred. • Experience with Sage Intacct and Adaptive Insights, preferred • 3 plus years of experience • Strong computer and math skills including proficiency with Microsoft Excel • Ability to work with time sensitive material and meet multiple deadlines • High attention to detail and effective prioritization skills • Good communication skills and ability to work independently • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and US accounting principles and practices. • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, preferred but not required
