Description

• The Accountant plays a crucial role in supporting specific business divisions and is responsible for monthly close tasks, financial reporting, bank account reconciliations, and assisting with audits and special projects. • Perform necessary entries required for the monthly closing of the assigned business divisions. • Analyze and record lending activities, including maintaining loan schedules for the lending business. • Prepare monthly financial reporting packages, including budget/forecast comparisons and prior period analyses. • Conduct bank account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data. • Perform monthly reconciliations for selected GL accounts, addressing non-cash items. • Assist with the preparation of schedules required for the external financial audit and tax preparation. • Serve as a key contact for auditors' inquiries, providing necessary information and documentation. • Create and update desktop procedures for all assigned tasks, ensuring consistent and efficient processes. • Contribute to various ad hoc projects as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

Requirements

• An undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Proficiency in top-tier ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or similar. • Strong command of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). • Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Excel, including IF statements, Macros, Pivots, and VLOOKUP. • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a structured accounting department. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders. • Capable of organizing and prioritizing multiple tasks to meet daily deadlines.
