• Serve as the primary Laboratory Operations business stakeholder representing the laboratory during the design, development and establishment of a new Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) • Collaborate with IT, software developers, and laboratory staff to define user requirements, workflow processes, and system specifications for the LIMS • Participate in LIMS testing, validation, and implementation processes • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions related to LIMS usage • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any issues related to LIMS functionality • Contribute to the continuous improvement of laboratory operations and LIMS utilization • Support accessioning activities in the CAP/CLIA laboratory
• BS in Biomedical Laboratory Sciences, Clinical Science, or equivalent • 3+ years of experience working in a clinical laboratory setting • Clinical Laboratory Assistant/Associate (CLA) experience • Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMSs) and their design, development, and implementation • Strong understanding of clinical laboratory processes, workflows, and regulatory requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google, and database management • Experience with LIMS implementation (preferably Sapio LIMS) or large-scale laboratory software projects • Knowledge of relevant regulatory standards (e.g., CLIA, CAP, GCP, etc.) • Familiarity with next-generation sequencing technologies and workflows
