Description
• Design and build infrastructure to enable safe systems and software delivery for Dexterity in production. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team of folks with SWE, SRE, and systems engineer skill sets. While this is a software engineering position, you will also bring an SRE sensibility to systems design. • Set direction for infrastructure quality and reliability. • Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers on the team and foster a collaborative work environment. • Lead by example by providing code reviews and evangelizing engineering excellence across the Software Platform team. • Guide tooling development and optimization of production systems.
Requirements
• 7+ years of experience in infrastructure software development, SRE, production engineering, and/or backend service development • Experience in building and shipping high quality, scalable infrastructure • 5+ years of experience in C++ or Go as well as a scripting language like Python • Deep understanding of linux – especially around bootloaders, connectivity, memory management, filesystems, kernel, and drivers • Strong systematic analysis and problem solving skills • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or other cgroups based systems • Expertise in source code & build systems: git and bazel • Familiarity with Google Cloud Projects • Strong understanding of software delivery pipelines and CI/CD best practices • Experience with IaC tooling, such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet • Fantastic communication, collaboration, and leadership skills • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
