Description

• Elegen is seeking an experienced software engineer for innovative DNA synthesis solutions. • Design, build, and maintain software for research and production teams. • Collaborate with various teams to support their needs. • Provide data access for molecular biology, data science, and BI teams. • Build AWS infrastructure for bioinformatics solutions. • Shape software architecture and influence company direction. • Enhance CI/CD processes and regression test infrastructure. • Support the software developed through on-call rotation. • Contribute to the company’s technology platform and culture.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field. • 12+ years of relevant industry experience, or PhD with 8+ years of relevant industry experience • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Expertise in commonly used backend technologies in both Python and GoLang. • Experience managing cloud infrastructure with IaC tools (Terraform, Pulumi, CDK). • Experience building CI/CD pipelines and managing releases (Dev, Stg, Prod). • Experience migrating monolithic legacy systems to microservices. • Familiar with Agile software development principles and goals. • Familiar with common software development practices, including tracking, version control, and continuous testing, integration, and deployment (Github Actions). • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate effectively in interdisciplinary teams. • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
