Description
• Provide leadership ensuring quality of Zipline's hardware and infrastructure • Develop and execute strategies for end-to-end quality system • Improve supplier performance and drive continuous improvements • Develop, manage, audit manufacturing processes at suppliers • Guide suppliers in developing efficient production processes • Collaborate with internal teams for performance specifications • Drive advanced quality planning and supplier improvements
Requirements
• 10 years in fast paced and high growth environment as Supplier Quality Engineer or similar role • Successfully launched complex electrical & mechanical components into volume production • Worked with established Quality System to improve supply base, e.g., AS9100/ISO9001/IATF16949 • Achieved results with Product Quality Planning with part suppliers and contract manufacturers • Visited vendors across geographies, assessing manufacturing processes • Participated in product design effort, transitioning from prototype to volume production • Understanding of methods like 8D, 5-WHY, Pareto Charts, and Fishbone Diagrams • Thrive in structured and unstructured environments with resource constraints • Understanding of product development process gates • Strong project management skills driving timelines with stakeholders
