Description

• We’re looking for a senior level Platform Engineer who excels at designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable systems and infrastructure. • As a key member of The Motley Fool’s CloudOps team, you'll play a crucial role in building and managing our AWS cloud infrastructure and supporting services. • You'll also oversee the creation and deployment pipelines for our applications, maintain various environments, and help shape the best solutions for recurring challenges. • This role is technical and hands-on, demanding a deep understanding of cloud platforms, networking, software design, operations, automation, and containerization.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in platform engineering within a product-focused company. • Startup Experience. If you’ve been part of a technology startup, you understand the challenges that come with the growth and maturity of a platform. • Software Frameworks: Hands-on experience with NextJS and Django. • Developer Experience: Passionate about enhancing the local developer experience and mentoring team members. • Automation & Observability: Experienced in automating code lifecycle management from development to production and using observability tools such as CloudWatch and DataDog to optimize performance across environments. • IaC Skills: Advanced skills in Terraform (IaC) for setting up reproducible and scalable environments, designing infrastructure for AWS-hosted applications, event-driven systems, containerized services on Kubernetes, and serverless functions.
