• Partner with Gatik’s Vice President, Operations to design and implement talent strategy • Lead day-to-day HR processes for Fleet Operations • Support fleet managers and supervisors in people practices • Ensure accurate tracking of payroll for non-exempt positions • Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and Canadian CMV carrier requirements • Maintain driver qualification and medical certificates records • Onboard and train new employees, drivers, and dispatchers • Answer employee questions related to benefits and HR programs • Develop training, policies, and SOPs for Fleet Operations • Provide performance support to managers and supervisors • Lead investigations and incidents involving autonomous vehicle fleet and drivers • Identify and address legal, compliance, and regulatory requirements affecting HR • Support Fleet Operations leadership in driver-related materials and policies • Promote company culture, values, and facilitate employee events
• Undergraduate bachelor's degree in human resources or equivalent practical experience • 5+ years of HR specialist or generalist experience in transportation, logistics, or operations industry • Expert level knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, and state or provincial requirements for truck driver qualification • Strong work ethic, integrity, and proven organizational skills with attention to detail • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Experience working at a rapidly growing start-up
