• Use mechanical engineering fundamentals, analysis, and design software to create complete mechanical design concepts • Detail design of landing gear components and airframe interfaces • Identify areas of risk and develop prototypes and test methods • Participate in integration and coordination activities • Complete additional analysis to ensure design meets requirements • Design and coordinate the build of an Iron Bird lab • Generate CAD Solid Models, Engineering drawings, and test plans and reports • Support fabrication and assembly processes • Provide frequent communication to Project Manager
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering from an accredited university • Minimum 5 years experience in system development of Part 25 landing gear systems • Extremely strong mechanical aptitude • Proficiency in solid modeling CAD design software (Siemens NX highly preferred)
