• Assist in the design and implementation of control systems for the test reactor. • Support measurement instrumentation and automated digital system process control. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective integration of control systems. • Participate in troubleshooting and optimizing control systems to enhance performance. • Perform data collection, analysis, and documentation to support project needs. • Contribute to the preparation and review of technical reports and presentations. • Engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay current with industry trends. • Support various engineering tasks, including testing, validation, and prototyping. • Actively participate in team meetings, providing updates and contributing to discussions. • Maintain clear and organized records of all work performed. cts of design and operation. • Other duties as assigned
• Current student pursuing Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field • Demonstrated application of technical skills outside of classroom setting through laboratory, research, extracurricular projects, personal projects, or prior internship/work experience is highly preferred • Experience with control system software (LabVIEW, PLCs, etc.) • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles • Experience with control system analysis and design and control systems protocols is a plus • Proficiency in Microsoft Office application (Outlook, Excel, Word) • Self-starter, critical thinking and problem solving skills • Proven team player with excellent verbal, written communication/presentation, and interpersonal skills • Ability to work well in an integrated collaborative team environment, including frequent interactions with cross-functional teams • Prioritizes and ensures safety of one self and others • Ability to proactively collect, manage and transfer knowledge
