• Assist in maintaining the general ledger by preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accuracy in financial records. • Participate in the month-end closing process, including preparation of financial statements, analysis of variances, and ensuring all necessary adjustments are made. • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing and collection. • Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in cash balances and financial statements. • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP. • Maintain and update the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate tracking and depreciation of assets. • Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and accurate allocation to cost centers. • Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and support the annual audit process, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. • Support the preparation and filing of sales tax returns and other regulatory filings as needed. • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the accounting function and participate in the implementation of best practices. • Assist with special projects and financial analysis as needed to support the finance team and overall business objectives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment. • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables). • Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles. • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with team members and management. • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data accuracy and integrity. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • CPA or progress towards CPA certification is a plus but not required.
