Description
•The Associate Manager of Accounting will report directly to the Senior Manager of Accounting and support the North America General Ledger (GL) team at KAYAK/OpenTable. •The primary responsibilities will be to work with the team on the monthly close process, perform variance analysis, manage two direct reports, and continuously improve processes. •Looking for someone with a solid understanding of US GAAP, who displays a strong sense of ownership and accountability, and who possesses an eagerness to learn and execute.
Requirements
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA preferred •5+ years experience in industry and/or public accounting (Big 4 experience preferred) •Demonstrated ability to lead and manage at least one direct report •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail •Exceptional written and communication skills •Excellent organizational and planning skills, including task prioritization and effective time management •Excitement to actively participate in projects to standardize and improve processes •The ability to prioritize and lead multiple tasks to meet deadlines, and are solution focused •NetSuite accounting software experience (a plus) •Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (vlookup, pivot tables, etc.) (preferred)
