• Create, improve, and maintain quality systems for manufacturing needs and customer requirements • Lead corrective and preventative actions for assigned commodities • Develop supplier quality standards, conduct supplier quality audits, and collaborate with suppliers on root cause analyses, countermeasures, and continuous improvement initiatives • Provide direction to manufacturing, suppliers, and supporting departments on process improvements and effective countermeasure techniques for non-conforming goods • Analyze manufacturing, customer, and test data to identify trends, improve KPIs, and enhance the overall customer experience • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate lean manufacturing principles, drive continuous improvement initiatives, troubleshoot quality issues, and implement corrective actions • Establish inspection processes, procedures, and thresholds, including appropriate measurement tools, frequency of measurement, data recording, and standard operating procedures creation • Lead a deployed team to achieve total quality performance across multiple products and suppliers • Participate in new supplier selection and development quality requirements • Provide reporting on hardware and supply chain quality metrics to manage SQA and supplier performance • Review product and process design documentation to ensure alignment with process capability and yield targets • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance systems and processes • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) • Perform audits of internal and external processes to ensure compliance with AS9100 and other relevant standards • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and establish quality requirements for new products and processes • Utilize statistical methods to monitor and improve product quality and process performance • Manage non-conformance reporting, including investigation and resolution • Develop and conduct training programs related to quality standards and procedures • Support supplier quality management, including supplier audits and performance monitoring
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field • 5+ years of experience in quality engineering within the aerospace or defense industries • In-depth knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and other relevant quality standards • Strong experience with root cause analysis, CAPA, and FMEA • Proficient in the use of quality tools and methodologies such as Six Sigma, SPC, and MSA • Proficient in First Article Inspection (FAI) creation • Proficient in defect data analysis, including root cause analysis and ensuring the effectiveness of corrective action plans • Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) • Excellent problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities • Experience dealing with customer requirements on jet engine components and systems • Experience with supplier quality management and audits • Must be able to obtain and hold a Top Secret U.S. security clearance
