Description
• Lead a hybrid team of engineers and external contractors to create and maintain quality processes • Identify potential team leaders from both technical and people leadership perspectives. • Collaborate with various teams to deliver product features on time and with quality. • Understand gaps in the QA and release process; establish a long-term team roadmap. • Co-own top-of-funnel metrics with marketing and business development teams. • Establish org-wide release and test quality transparency via comprehensive reporting. • Improve mobile regression testing quality in collaboration with the platform team. • Manage app store metadata and oversee app submission processes. • Address mobile app release rejections while coordinating with key partners. • Drive critical conversations to smoothen release processes with stakeholders. • Implement and scale standard processes to maintain consistency while identifying issues pre-release/QA. • Mentor team members to help them reach their full potential.
Requirements
• 3+ years of technical leadership experience • 5+ years of QA automation, release management or engineering experience • Strong ownership and accountability to lead all aspects of the release process and quality • Maintain and improve team project management rituals, either Scrum or Kanban. • Hands-on experience in delivering and maintaining the quality of large-scale, end-to-end (consumer-facing) apps/systems. • Passion for taking initiative and driving high-leverage solutions in a rapidly changing environment • Wisdom on technical trade-offs, strong sense of ownership, and execution • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills with the ability to advocate and present to non-technical audiences, including leadership, in an easily digestible manner. • Desire and ability to grow, encourage, and empower the team to go above and beyond. • Experience working autonomously with multiple teams across backend, iOS, Android, Web platforms, data, product, analytics, design, business development, and external vendors.
