• Manage all aspects of the company’s SEC reporting function • Complete external reporting and GAAP checklists and review XBRL tagging • Perform research and draft technical accounting memos related to new and proposed accounting standards • Monitor new accounting pronouncements and accounting policy developments • Support and review annual proxy supporting schedules and other SEC filings • Work closely with external auditors on quarterly reviews and annual audits • Manage and review clinical and contract manufacturing accruals • Participate in SOX 404b implementation • Support external tax advisors PBC requests for tax compliance matters • Participate in financial systems implementation • Other responsibilities / ad-hoc requests as required
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Business, CPA required • 8+ years of audit / public accounting experience required • Big 4 accounting/audit experience in an SEC & PCAOB environment preferred • 3+ years of experience in a public company highly preferred • Life Science industry experience with strong clinical and drug manufacturing accounting knowledge highly preferred • Strong US GAAP, SEC and SOX 404b regulations and guidelines • Excellent working knowledge of financial statements and good understanding of tools to benchmark disclosure practices • ERP system experience preferred • Ability to independently research, interpret, analyze, compile, and present data and information • Ability to organize and communicate research materials/results (both verbal and written) clearly to senior management • Experience with Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills required
