Description
• Design, architect, and maintain secure systems, networks, and applications, including cloud-based solutions, to protect against cyber threats • Oversee AWS networking, VPN security and package management • Conduct vulnerability assessments to identify and remediate vulnerabilities, both internally and externally • Define and assess compliance security configurations for hardware, software, and cloud services, ensuring adherence to security governance and compliance frameworks • Develop and maintain security documentation, including policies and procedures • Collaborate with Engineering to ensure secure coding practices and adherence to strict security guidelines • Manage security technology and audit/intrusion systems
Requirements
• Knowledge of cloud cybersecurity best practices and ability to stay current on industry changes • Strong background in AWS, Linux, shell scripting, and networking knowledge • Experience with security technologies such as VPNs, SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and vulnerability management tools • Familiarity with security governance and compliance standards (e.g., SOCII, CIS Benchmarks, NIST, ISO 27001) • Understanding of application security principles and secure coding practices • Experience with developing and implementing security procedures and policies • Strong problem-solving, project management, leadership and communication skills • Experience with compliance solutions such as Drata • Proven track record in similar roles • Self-motivated with a willingness to take ownership of tasks • 4+ years of industry experience
