Description
• Supervise the accounting team and provide training and mentoring. • Monitor and analyze department workflow to develop efficient procedures and the use of resources. • Ensure all deadlines are met. • Prepare and Review Journal Entries. • Prepare and Review Account Reconciliations. • Maintain the general ledger system. • Prepare monthly financial statements. • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles. • Assist in annual audit process and respond to audit questions as needed. • Provide recommendations to Controller as needed. • Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy. • Utilize best practice standard tools, templates, and methodologies in delivery of client services. • Meet financial accounting objectives.
Requirements
• 8+ years of experience in accounting and finance roles • 3+ Industry experience in manufacturing, biotech, medical devices and fintech highly desired. • BS Degree in accounting, finance or work experience equivalent • 5+ years prior supervisory experience in a large private or public company. • Proficiency in accounting software for example NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, JDE, Great Plains, etc • MS Excel proficiency including VLOOKUP’s, Pivot Tables, and Macros
