Description
• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions and processes from contract to cash including, but not limited to, payroll, fixed assets, and accruals • Maintain general ledger balance sheet reconciliations • Review accounting information and analyze accounting data to identify and resolve inaccuracies and/or imbalances • Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting close cycles and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting • Coach and mentor direct reports providing guidance and support • Coordinate with the FP&A team to support budgeting and forecasting activities • Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting-related issues and provide financial support as needed • Lead and participate in special projects and initiatives as needed • Assist Controller with annual audit and sales tax filings • Assist Controller to conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed to support decision-making across the organization • Assist Controller to cultivate an environment that encourages maximum productivity and service effectiveness, personal growth and development, open communication and teamwork
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience specifically in the role of Accounting Manager and/or combination experienced Senior Accountant • 3+ years as a supervisor/leader over accounting teams • 3+ years experience in the SaaS industry or technology sector • Thorough knowledge of US GAAP • Experience supporting accounting operations and reporting across multiple business units with strong accounting research skills • Experience with NetSuite (3+ years), Salesforce and Advanced Microsoft Excel skills a plus • Strong project management experience, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adaptable to changing priorities and evolving responsibilities • Strong analytical and organizational skills and verbal and written communication skills • Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments and build strong working relationships • High attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to continuous improvement
