• Advocate for mission assurance at the launch site • Partner with Flight Reliability, Launch Reliability, and Launch Operations teams • Work on diverse projects including Falcon 9, Dragon, and Starship programs • Reliably launch astronauts and payloads • Identify and resolve high-risk processes and problems • Lead root cause and corrective action investigations • Participate in preliminary and critical design reviews • Drive hardware inputs for a reliable launch cadence • Make quality landscape transparent and prioritize resolving issues
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or STEM discipline • 5+ years of professional experience in quality, manufacturing, or design engineering • Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline preferred • Experience supporting production of complex systems • Knowledge of quality tools like Lean principles, Six Sigma, root cause analysis • Dedicated to adopting a Lean quality approach • Available to work extended hours, nights, and weekends • Ability to pass Air Force background check for Vandenberg • Ability to work 2nd shift from 4:00pm - 2:00am
