• Own the development and execution of email marketing programs for IXL • Identify strategic opportunities for growth and retention. This includes but is not limited to lead generation, lead nurture, engagement, onboarding, upsell, re-engagement, and transactional emails • Optimize our email marketing processes, including campaign development, email design, segmentation, personalization, and more • Monitor analytics and conduct A/B testing to refine our email strategy • Ensure success of email execution, QA, deliverability, and maintenance of our database; assist with deployment of emails as needed • Collaborate with various teams, including Marketing, Sales, Product, Design, and Engineering, to develop and execute campaigns and automation projects • Manage and mentor a team of email marketing specialists
• BA/BS degree • 7+ years of email/CRM marketing experience; must include experience with SaaS or subscription-based services. Experience with both B2B and B2C marketing is a plus • 2+ years experience with managing, coaching, and motivating teams • Must have strong experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud from top to bottom, including building triggered email programs, managing lists, executing email sends, and more. Experience with Acoustic is a plus. • High level of comfort working with engineers and product managers; SQL experience preferred • Strategic thinking: You are able to consider an idea from all angles, ask smart questions, and make thoughtful decisions that align with company needs and values • You get things done: You’re a self starter, organized, resourceful, and have the ability to manage projects from start to finish • You care about the details: You have an eye for design, a good instinct for what email content will resonate with consumers, and triple-check every email before it’s sent • You have excellent interpersonal skills: You’re a team player, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and have the ability to work cross-functionally
