Description

• The Primary School is seeking a Director of Finance to lead operations in financial management, reporting, and compliance. • Manage accounts payable, revenue recognition, and grant administration with a heavy emphasis on operational accounting. • Ensure accurate accounting in NetSuite and track expenditures of restricted grants. • Supervise Senior Accountant and coordinate information provision to external auditors for the annual audit and Form 990. • Manage commercial insurance and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

Requirements

• Minimum of a BA; CPA and/or MBA preferred. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field. • Minimum 10 years of accounting experience. • Minimum 5 years of nonprofit accounting experience. • Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles. • Knowledge of Government Auditing Standards • Solid experience in audit activities, reporting, budget development, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, operational accounting for non-profit organization. • Grants management experience essential. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. • Extensive analytical skills and ability to communicate clearly to diverse group.
