Description
• Review, draft and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements. • Respond promptly to legal requests from product, engineering, sourcing, business development, finance, and marketing teams. • Advise cross-functional partners on legal issues such as product liability, regulatory matters, agreement structures, approval processes, IP, and negotiation strategies. • Support improvements to Waymo's legal department by streamlining processes, forms, and operations.
Requirements
• JD degree, admission to the bar, and in good standing or authorized to practice law. • 3+ years of experience advising on intellectual property and commercial agreements. • Experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements such as licenses, supply, and services agreements. • Experience in another specialist area of law (e.g. employment, IP, corporate, competition). • Experience advising clients from hardware supply, R&D or new technology companies. • Experience managing multiple projects and developing expertise in new, complex subjects.
