• Conduct and coach subject matter experts in risk or hazard assessments • Lead teams through challenging safety situations • Generate clear and concise documentation for the Safety Management System • Train team members on SMS documentation to enhance safety culture • Manage communication up and down the reporting chain • Identify areas for safety process improvement and develop action plans • Conduct root cause analyses of events and incidents • Coordinate program-level safety activities • Develop standardization of safety practices • Thrive in a startup environment and adapt to changes • Participate in Safety Management System activities to implement and maintain an SMS • Support problem-solving activities related to engineering, production, and operating UAM • Coordinate flight test and system test activities • Engage in all four pillars of SMS and Safety Culture activities
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with a preference for engineering or aviation safety • at least 8 years of aviation experience, with flight or system test experience desired • 3 years of experience in safety risk management • Work experience in FDA or Military regulated environments • Hands-on experience in safety risk management, internal safety communications, and data visualization
