Description
• Prepare and review journal entries and supporting documentation • Develop SOPs and materials for usage by all teams to ensure adequate support and similar approaches for like type entries • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for the company • Create, reconcile, and approve assigned balance sheet accounts for business units • Research unreconciled balances and collaborate with teams to ensure proper clearing • Develop automation to improve accuracy and create efficiencies • Review purchase orders for accuracy in coding • Enter contracts into CostPoint with appropriate CLINs, labor categories, costs, points of contact and all other required contract data • Create monthly cost pools journals • Perform other accounting duties as requested
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. • 8+ years of experience in government contracting industry with understanding of FAR and CAS • Must have experience reading and interpreting government contracts • Expertise with Deltek CostPoint • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
