Description
• Own G/L accounting for Balance Sheet, Fixed Asset, and Income Statement accounts. • Prepare journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations including but not limited to; cash, accounts receivable, revenues, prepaid expenses, lease liabilities, accrued liabilities, and other operating expenses • Support the Astra GL Accounting team with the month-end close process, including coordinating the preparation of the monthly management reporting package • Act as a cross-functional business partner to create improvements and optimize operational and month-end processes • Maintain key policies and procedures for your area of responsibility • Prepare audit processes, including schedules as requested by the auditors • Support for ad-hoc projects as required from time to time
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (with emphasis in Accounting) • 3+ years of operational experience in accounting/GAAP • CPA track or public accounting experience • Discrete manufacturing industry experience • Good understanding of technical accounting and US GAAP • Microsoft Dynamics experience preferred or experience with Tier 1 ERP system • Excellent Excel skills, fluent with complex formulas • Systems implementation experience • Experience within a private company; demonstratable experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
