Description
• Maintain complete sets of accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, sales revenue and daily financial entries and reconciliations • Perform daily accounting tasks such as monthly/quarterly financial reporting, general ledger entries, invoices payment, and verify the procedures for recording financial transactions • Work closely with the VP Finance • Maintain records of financial transactions • Develop system to account for financial transactions • Calculate and prepare payroll cheques, process accounts receivable/payable and pay invoices in a timely manner • Monitor cash balances, short term investments and cash flows forecasts • Complete and submit tax remittance forms and other revenue agency forms, workers' compensation forms, pension forms and other government documents • Prepare financial reports • Comply with legal requirements • Select and implement efficient accounting software • Select and implement efficient expenses management reporting software
Requirements
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in bookkeeping • Chartered accountant professional designation (CPA) is a plus • Bilingual (French/English) • Good knowledge of all accounting, finance and treasury functions • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software • Detail-oriented • Highly analytical yet practical • Multi-tasker • Possessing a sense of urgency • Taking initiative • Dealing with complexity • Problem-solving skills • Confidentiality • Thoroughness
