Description
• Design and implement algorithms to build HD maps from the ground up • Evaluate those algorithms and iterate by designing and implementing relevant metrics • Design and implement algorithms to compare different generations of map products across time • Collaborate with engineers across teams to improve the maps. It requires not only developing algorithms to build good maps, but also understanding how the maps are consumed by different modules, so that sensible decisions can be made
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or a related field and 4+ years of relevant experience (or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or PhD) • Solid understanding of probability, geometry, linear algebra and graph theory • Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms relevant to mapping, location based services, SLAM • Solid programming skills and software engineering practice • Knowledge of modern C++ and/or Python is a plus • Strong communication, problem-solving, task-prioritization and teamwork skills • Experience in working with large and scalable systems is a plus
