• Expand supplier portfolio by securing, onboarding, and managing new top-tier sports brands and retailers • Manage existing suppliers to maximize sales opportunities and product quality • Define and implement processes to prepare category for scaling • Design short- and long-term category growth strategy • Collaborate with marketing and product departments to improve sports category • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, identify supply and customer opportunities • Analyze sales data and feedback to track category growth and make adjustments • Lead category after initial scaling if applicable
• Background in Sales, Business Development, Category Management, or Merchandising for sports • Passion for sales and ability to generate leads • Experience in business development, scaling projects, and processes • Strong network within the sports industry • Understanding of key developments and challenges in sports industry • Analytical skills to spot trends and make decisions based on data • Strategic thinker with focus on 'the big picture' • Excellent German & English communication skills • Experience managing cross-functional projects and setting KPIs • Willingness to travel occasionally within the EU
