Description

• Responsible for defining the community's mission, goals, and values and broader community engagement strategies to drive growth, retention, and advocacy within the ReversingLabs Community • Build and nurture relationships with community members, and open source organizations ReversingLabs is part of, serving as a trusted resource and providing guidance, learning programs, conflict resolution, and support • Identify and work with top external open source projects, maintainers, package managers, communities, partners, and marketplaces to promote ReversingLabs • Conceive and develop incentive programs to drive community engagement • Manage and moderate community platforms, including forums, social media groups, and chat channels • Representing the community and project at conferences, events, and in media • Create and curate content to share with the community, external bloggers, influencers, and partner communities including articles, blog posts, tutorials, newsletters and community documentation • Cross-functionally promote and organize community events, such as webinars, meetups, and conferences • Collaborate with cross-functional ReversingLabs teams to gather insights and feedback from the community, and to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation • Collaborate with the product team to define and develop new capabilities within the platform • Develop and monitor community metrics and engagement levels, leveraging data to inform community strategy and drive continuous improvement • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in community management

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in community management or a related role building and nurturing online communities, forums, and social media groups ideally related to application security • Deep knowledge of the cybersecurity industry, ideally in application security, is a must, with a minimum of 5 years of experience. • Strong and demonstrable connection to the Open Source Software community • Understanding of software development processes, version control systems, and coding practices • Strong understanding of online community platforms such as Discourse, Slack, Discord, GitHub, and mailing lists, and content management systems (CMS), and social media management tools • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to build rapport and establish trust with community members • Proficiency in content creation and curation • Experience organizing and hosting developer or cybersecurity community events such as webinars, meetups, and hackathons • Bachelor's degree in a technical, marketing, or a related field • Strong organizational, project management, time management, and multitasking abilities to coordinate multiple projects and deadlines • Self-motivated and able to work independently
