Description

•The Trading Application Support Engineer will provide critical technical support to the trading desk and back-office operations specializing in bond/loan trading. •The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial instruments, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. •The ideal person should possess strong communication skills and have the personality to effectively engage with traders, portfolio managers, and operations. •They should be a natural team player, able to collaborate seamlessly to understand and meet requirements. •The support engineer should be able to connect the dots and be proactive toward improving the day-to-day support function. •The candidate must have excellent programming and data management skills, strong verbal/written communication skills, and be a cultural fit with an emphasis on teamwork, excellence and results.

Requirements

•3+ years or the equivalent of working in the financial industry with a deep understanding or strong potential to pick up financial securities, especially bonds and loans. •Prior experience with Everest is strongly desired but not a hard requirement. •Strong track record of hands-on SQL Server T-SQL programming experience. •Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills; detail-oriented. •Strong cultural fit – teamwork, proactive/self-starter, results-oriented, and integrity. •Excellent communication skills. •Have an “Own it!” mindset. •Prior experience with one or more OO programming languages desired (Python preferred). •Experience working with Microsoft SSIS and SSRS. •Experience with XML/XPath/XSLT. •Experience with a Trading system. Like Blackrock Aladdin, Charles River. •Experience with portfolio accounting systems like Geneva •Active Batch, Control-M, Autosys scheduling
