Description
• Oversee global tax matters including tax planning, compliance, and income tax accounting. • Maintain formal tax policies and ensure compliance with US GAAP. • Partner with product and business systems teams for tax representation in new initiatives. • Act as the primary contact for outside advisors on complex tax matters. • Manage global transfer pricing strategy to minimize tax obligations. • Forecast and analyze quarterly and annual effective tax rates. • Drive resolution of tax issues related to audits and acquisitions. • Provide guidance on tax legislation changes to manage risk.
Requirements
• Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Finance. • Minimum of 8 years of corporate and international tax experience in public accounting and a multinational corporate tax department. • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP accounting for income taxes. • Strong technical knowledge of income tax, accounting for income taxes (e.g. ASC 740, ASC 450). • Track record of managing service providers to ensure quality completion on time. • Professional and positive communication skills. • Ownership of international tax structures and business models. • Out-of-the-box thinking for creative tax structures. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Experience with foreign offices or subsidiaries preferred. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Proven ability to work across various departments. • Highly detail-oriented with excellent time management skills. • Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. • Strong passion for Nextdoor’s mission.
