• The Principal Electrical Engineer will join the Research & Development organization in designing, developing, and testing novel electronic systems based on medical operating devices. • Areas of responsibilities includes the creation of hardware, firmware, and software components; specification and selection; system and subsystem integration; and verification and validation in accordance with standards and satisfaction of requirements. • The Senior Electrical Engineer must also be able to write detailed electrical specifications, test procedures/reports and generate design documentation. • Ease of traveling off-site and excellent customer service skills are important within the scope of field.
• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. M.S. is preferred. • Minimum of 9 years of experience or more of practical experience in circuit or system design, development, integration, or testing. • Familiar with applicable standards and regulations for medical device design. • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. • Excellent organization, documentation, and written/verbal communication skills. • Experience with the generation, review, and understanding of formal engineering drawings and documents required for the fabrication and assembly. • Experience working with vendors and contract manufacturers for fabrication and assembly. • Experience with the use of basic laboratory instruments and tools (e.g. DMM, mixed signal oscilloscope, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer, and network analyzer). • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with strong collaboration skills. • Strong team leadership skills and the ability to work independently.
