Description
• The Director/Sr. Director, BD & Ops role will be a critically important player who owns & shapes scientific, operational, and external-facing facets of value-driving subsidiaries. • This includes developing and owning the business plan, scientific plan, strategy, budget, and more. • Success in this role requires a keen understanding of molecular biology, chemistry, translational medicine, clinical development, and a willingness to interpret & question scientific strategy. • You will help boil down complex issues into bite-size, easy-to-understand information regarding the programs you cover from a scientific and business/financial perspective. • The role will include responsibilities for competitive intelligence, NPV modeling, leading teams, and managing industry relationships. • You will be relied upon to be a detailed and rational problem-solver who thinks independently, improvises, and inspires excellence.
Requirements
• PhD or MD from top-tier academic institutions or scientific undergrad with commensurate work experience • Strategic planning, operating, and program management experience working with a close-knit team at a biotech startup or top-tier pharma • Management Consulting or Banking experience from top tier firm
