Description

• Lead business development efforts focused on satellite solutions for commercial customers, including telecommunications, Earth observation, and technology companies • Develop and execute strategies to secure new business, including identifying opportunities, crafting proposals, and negotiating contracts • Build and maintain relationships with key commercial clients, understanding their needs and aligning Rocket Lab’s offerings to meet their mission objectives • Collaborate with internal teams to develop innovative solutions that differentiate Rocket Lab in the commercial space market • Stay informed of industry trends and market dynamics to proactively identify new opportunities and refine business strategies • Create new business opportunities and relationships by presenting Rocket Lab’s capabilities/experience to provide satellite solutions • Lead and/or participate in proposal activities, including generation of technical, management, cost, schedule, and proposal content for new business

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical discipline • 8+ years of experience in business development, program management, or systems engineering within the commercial space or aerospace sector • Strong understanding of space mission requirements, government contracting, and the commercial space landscape • In-depth knowledge of commercial acquisition processes, government contracting, and the commercial space landscape • Proven track record of securing large (> $10M) contracts and managing strategic relationships within the commercial space industry
