Description

• The Associate Director of Business Development role is an integral part of Serent’s proprietary sourcing strategy. • The Associate Director will proactively identify and cultivate relationships with executives at leading companies that may be investment opportunities for the firm. • In collaboration with the investment team, this role presides over researching investment themes, developing the firm’s network in new markets, and uncovering growth companies with the end goal of generating proprietary investment opportunities for the firm.

Requirements

• 2+ years of substantial experience in external, business development-focused roles within financial services, consulting, research and/or technology companies • Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency and ability to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment • Proven track record of engaging and building relationship with senior executives • Demonstrated leadership ability with capacity to quickly build trust and rapport with founders and CEOs as the face of Serent • Fundamental understanding of accounting and corporate finance • Creativity and entrepreneurial spirit • Excellent analytical, writing and communications skills • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
