Description

• The Business Development Specialist will lead marketing activities for entertainment content, centered on anime and manga • Drive overall company sales through acquiring new projects and developing new services • Oversee general communications for marketing activities requiring international collaboration • Manage day-to-day activities of the Business Development & Licensing Division • Prepare regular reports on division activities • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and goals and develop customized solutions

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant marketing/business development experience • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications or related field • Native or bilingual proficiency in both Japanese and English • Experience in marketing/promotions for entertainment content (anime, manga, games, etc.) • Strong project management and organizational abilities • Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders • Client-facing skills with ability to develop relationships • Problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously • Experience working in both Japanese and North American business environments • Understanding of licensing and content distribution models • Skills in digital/social media marketing and analytics • Background or interest in anime/manga subculture • Experience coordinating international/remote teams • Understanding of North American entertainment market • Project management certification (PMP, Prince2, etc.)
